Workers’ compensation is a state-mandated and regulated insurance which is designed to provide compensation and cover medical expenses of an employee who was injured on the job. Workers’ comp is organized to benefit the injured worker and set up to pay for medical bills and give monetary awards to offset lost wages. An individual who suffers an injury during employment and was causally related to the nature of the work will be eligible to claim workers’ comp. If you are hurt on the job, your employer is required by law to pay for workers’ comp benefits.

Medical Assistant/Cast Technician/Surgery Scheduler/Workers Compensation Coordinator (Bilingual)
Carlos joined Southern California Foot & Ankle Specialists in December 2021. Carlos, comes into our office with 17 years of experience in the medical field. He plays a key role in providing care to our patients. He is head of our Workers Compensation Department. He is our Surgery Scheduler for all Insurances. You will find him as well taking medical histories, and vital signs, applying and removing casts, preparing patients for their examinations, and assisting the doctor during the examination as well as other front and back office clinical duties.
Outside of our office, Carlos is a father to Eric, Christian, and Matthew all three boys, and blessed to be married since 2004 to his wife Yuliana. Carlos loves to travel especially when it comes to going to his parent’s home town Villa Jimenez, Michoacán Mexico where he has a yearly tradition of participating in the town’s religious festivity in honor of St. Nicholas of Tolentine who is the town’s saint. He is a huge Dodgers fan, as well he is a fan of all 3 of his boys who are playing Baseball for Little League and High School. He feels blessed for life and for having his parents, wife, and boys as well to have been given the opportunity to work with SCFAS where he enjoys working with the patients and coworkers.
